A capsule is a dose, not a strength
An oil bottle prints a percentage; a box of capsules prints milligrams in one capsule. That is the whole difference in reading them: 25 mg in a capsule means 25 mg, whatever the box holds. The number of capsules says how long the pack lasts, not how strong it is.
Why capsules get chosen
No taste of hemp and no measuring: a capsule is swallowed like any other. That is why the price is compared per milligram — it puts a 10 mg capsule and a 25 mg capsule in the same row instead of making one look cheap and the other expensive.
Spectrum applies here too: full spectrum with traces of THC below the legal limit, broad spectrum with no detectable THC, isolate with cannabidiol alone. The carrier is usually olive or MCT oil, and the shell is gelatine or plant-based — both are printed on the pack.
Frequently asked questions
How many milligrams are in one capsule?
It is printed on the pack and on the product page, usually between 10 and 50 mg. The number of capsules in the box does not change it: that only says how long the pack lasts.
Are hemp oil capsules and cannabis oil capsules the same?
Not always. Hemp seed oil capsules hold a food oil with practically no cannabidiol. Cannabis oil capsules hold an extract with a stated amount of cannabidiol per capsule. Look for “cannabidiol” or “CBD” and a figure in milligrams on the ingredient list.
Capsules or oil?
A capsule gives a fixed dose and no taste; oil is measured in drops and changes in small steps. If the dose is already chosen, the capsule is easier; if it is still being found, oil adjusts more finely.
What do cannabis oil capsules cost?
Price follows the milligrams in the box, so compare per milligram of cannabidiol rather than per box. Thirty capsules of 10 mg hold 300 mg, thirty of 25 mg hold 750 mg: the second costs more per box and less per milligram.
Are there vegan capsules?
The shell is either gelatine or plant-based, and the pack always says which, next to the ingredient list. The carrier inside is a vegetable oil — usually olive or MCT. If the page does not say “plant-based shell”, the shell is gelatine.
